1969 MGB GT
As I looked over the car I was really suprised that it only had 1 spot of rust that was approx. 1" by 2". I carefully cut away the rusted section (I oversized the cut to make sure the damage had not spread. Once I open the panel up, I wire brushed the inside panel to bare metal and put a sealant on the inner panel before cutting forming and welding a patch onto the panel.
As you can see I started by spot welding the panel to make sure that nothing warped from the heat.
I continued to jusm around doing small spot welds with good penetration. I then ground all the welds down smooth.
The finished panel just has some miniscule low spots that will be filled with filler and primer, and will sand down perfect without layers of bondo.
